I have been looking for watches lately but so many look so much the same. I have lots of watches and I suppose I am one of those people who like to change their watches like they do their jewelery. What I was looking for was something that was unique or special to me.
I found a great site called Whimsical Watches that have a huge range of very unusual watches to choose from. You can personalize them by adding your name, a favorite photo etc but I will go into that in a minute.
My favorite sections are:
- Hobby watches and in particular the Scrapbook and the Cross stitch watches.
- Holiday watches and from that range I like the Easter and Christmas ones.
- Photo watches because you can put your own photo in the watch for your own sentimental reasons. This section is found under Print watches category.
- Closeouts which are the discounted watches and my favorite there were the seashell watch and the coffer lover.
- Zodiac watches just because I love my own star sign.
The hobby watches are my favorite though as they are so much fun to look at and I relate to those very much. There are also many other categories but the ones above are the ones I like. Check them all out especially the Closeouts as most of the watches I saw were half price and included that lovely seashell watch I mentioned before.
What I also like about the watches you find on Whimsical Watches is that you can personalize them very easily with choosing different bands (at no extra cost), adding a name (cost of $5 extra) or indicating colors for miniatures, hair or skin color (extra cost of $10) so you have a great personal gift for someone special or even for yourself. I am mentioning this so you know you have choices and that there are some extra costs but only if you want them. The cost of the watches are $49.95 and the shipping cost is approximately $8.50 for US States.
If you are looking for watches on the internet then you should take a look at Whimsical and if you are looking for something a little different then this site might be the right one for you like it was for me. These are the coolest I have seen around in a long time.
PS I am waiting on a reply from them about costs for shipping to international destinations like Canada, UK and Australia so I will update this post when I get an answer.
