Iron clocks lend themselves to contemporary themes and furniture.  Some of these iron clocks are popular and allow for great design or fashion styles from contemporary to exotic designs.  They can be a piece of art in their own right.

Kitchen wall clocks in iron can be very decorative and are popular because of this when decorating your kitchen.   They can also be bigger because they they are usually mounted on the wall and so make quite a statement rather than other plainer minimalistic designs in ceramic or wood.

Many antique style iron clocks are very ornate and some are even gilded but for a kitchen clock that is probably not what you are looking for and more suited to a living room.  French influenced Fleur de xxx or the Spanish wrought iron clocks are my favorite with their delicate design followed closely by Tuscan designs which are probably more modern.

Modern styles like the Sunburst are a good design for the kitchen and fit with many styles of decor.  Iron clocks are sturdy and should last years so take time to pick one you really like as you will be looking at it for many years to come.
