Clock parts are easy to find these days because more people are making their own clocks and because a clock repair is often a better option and cheaper than buying a new one. For instance, if you break the glass on your clock face then you can now replace it rather than buying a new clock.
You may want to do this if it is a clock that maybe is an antique or has some sentimental value to you. You can also buy cleaning supplies and lubricants for your clock to keep it in tip top condition. There are now more reasons to find you clock parts and keep it.
There are many suppliers of clock parts online. Where you can get movements, bezels, dials, insertion units, hands, pendulums etc. Quartz movements are the most popular but the fixing methods differ from the US to Europe so just be aware of that. You can get traditional spring-driven movements from Germany but these are more expensive.
If you are going to make your own clock then there are clock plans for under $16 to help you with this. You then buy the clock parts to fit your case shell that you have made. There are also books available to help you through your project. Why not try using a tile from your kitchen and using that as the base for a clock. It makes an easy but attractive clock that fits into your decor very well.
If you are just fixing a clock you already have then whatever you need is available through Clockparts.com. Any part you may be looking for they have. You can also 'google' your problem and often you will find the step by step directions for fixing it if they aren't already supplied to you.
Fix that clock and keep it!
