It is every woman’s dream to have the complete kitchen at home with neat fittings, storage compartments and tools and utensils essential to having an enjoyable time while baking, cooking or even cleaning it. From choosing your kitchen’s countertops, plumbing system, tiles, flooring, lighting to selecting specific appliances, your kitchen would inevitably your personality and love for cooking and your home.
Decorating the kitchenmight sound like a lot of hard work but if you keep things in order and know what you want, then you’d realize that decorating the kitchen is actually easier than you think. The kitchen clock is one thing though that completes the kitchen.
Although you should keep the big things in mind like the type of lighting you’d use, the tiles you’d have, together with the kind of stove you’d buy and the storage, carousels and drawer systems you’d get, remember that attention to details would give the magic touch to your kitchen. Don’t forget to get yourself an elegant kitchen clockthat suits your kitchen’s design.
Time flies when you are in the kitchen, so as you get yourself a clock, make sure that it’s something that you like and that it complements the overall look of your kitchen. Place it on a suitable space on the wall where you could easily see it. A 10-12 inch kitchen clock will suit the average kitchen but that is also personal taste.
Decorating the kitchenis a wonderful activity you can have with your family. Take time to gather your ideas and make your dream kitchen a reality. A great looking does not have to be so expensive. As long as it is clean, well-organized and functionally complete, there isn’t anything else that you could ask for. Don’t forget that kitchen clock to finish it all off as a complete kitchen.
Cooking and baking are all about the choosing right ingredients and having the right timing. No matter how fine and exquisite your kitchen’s counter tops, tiles, appliances, drawers and equipment look, it’s important that you don’t forget to pay attention to some of your kitchen’s finer details, including the availability of a kitchen clock timer. I have dropped mine too many times and need a new one as I miss having that accuracy and sometimes it's been the difference between ruining something I have been baking and getting a great result.
The key to choosing the right kitchen clock timer is getting one that is of the appropriate size – something that is visible enough but not too large as to be bothersome. Get a clock timer that would save you counter space. Also, get one that fits your kitchen’s overall theme and don't forget that it needs a good buzz or ring that you can hear.
Wonderful clock timers are essential because most of the time, you’d realize that it isn’t enough to just have one timer – the one that’s usually on the oven. On special occasions where you are preparing three or more dishes, you will certainly find an extra clock timer useful. Timers do not have to work in a complicated way; as long as it functions well and is easy to understand, it will certainly be good enough. Also, you may want to consider getting a kitchen clock that actually comes with a timer. This makes your clock multifunctional. And when your kitchen clock and timer are combined in one gadget, what more can you ask for?
So remember, when it comes to your kitchen even the little details count, and at times, these little things like to have an accurate kitchen clock timer make the big things great and help you maximize your kitchen most effectively.

I came across the video about a kitchen clock and it struck a cord in me. It is sweetly sung and about a family, especially the father, struggling through life to provide for the family. Watch and listen as I am sure you will enjoy it too.
The humble kitchen clock is an average household item but it sometimes has significance in our lives such as memories of watching the clock for a special event to start or counting down the time to New Year. I remember many a time when I was young watching our kitchen clock waiting for a date to arrive, and at other times for the Sunday Lunch to come out of the oven.
My family home has had many kitchen clocks but all but one was an analogue clock and frankly I prefer them to digital any day. The most memorable was a lime green frying pan shaped clock we had in the 70s. I wish I had a picture of it to share with you but it is long gone now. I also remember when I was first married and we lived in a Unit with the people above us owning a cuckoo kitchen clock. Well that took us about a month to get used to and these memories you never forget (or the lost sleep).
Are you looking for a clock for the workshop, garage, bar or garden shed? In my opinion I wouldn't put one on my kitchen wall but you may disagree if it goes with the theme of your kitchen. If so then consider a novelty clock like a beer clock. There is quite a variety but most will be analogue not digital because it allows for more designs and creativity especially with the graphics.
Most beer clocks are battery operated except for some like the neon ones (which can be quite bright for inside the home) but these really don't use as much electricity as you would think, probably only as much as a 75 watt globe so if you really want a clock to stand out the neon clocks are for you. You can even get your beer clock personalized with your name (which I think looks good in a workshop) or buy ones with your favorite beer brand such as Corona, Miller, Budweiser or Tooheys.
Beer clocks make an interesting addition to your home and I was a bit surprised at the variety of beer clocks available especially on eBay so you should find one you like and that will look good on your wall.
I wish you the best at this Christmas time and the peace and happinessthis season can bring.
This video below is one of the best around if you love Christmas lights set to music. What a great way to decorate our home if you can afford the electricity bill
My kitchen is my oasis and so I love to be there. There is nothing like being your kitchen on a cold rainy day with the smell of something baking in the oven. Being in my kitchen gives me comfort and I think this came about from my childhood. Then I would come home from school or later work, my mother would always welcome me from the kitchen and there would always be something delicious cooking on the stove.
When I was deciding on houses to live in then the most important room for me was the kitchen. It had to be big enough, had a workable design and was pleasing to the eye. The only exception is my current house but I already had plans in my head to renovate the small pokey impractical kitchen into something twice the size, more functional and pleasing.
Decorating my kitchen was a pleasure, and of course I already had an idea of what I wanted for the kitchen to look like. I have a house that is as old as me so an ultra modern kitchen would not have suited. I think I have chosen well to suit my old house. I would've liked a bigger pantry but unfortunately there was not enough room. This is the only thing now I would change if I could. My kitchen is pictured on this post and I would love to hear about your own kitchen. Also note that that I chose an analog pendulum clock for the wall.
I love to cook even though I work full time so most of my cooking is done on the weekend. In winter you will find me cooking a crock pot meal and have my breadmaker cooking a large french load to go with it. This Christmas I will be also spending more time in my kitchen and I love to make s0me of my own presents. Cookies, cakes and slices are my favorites which I will wrap and present in decorative boxes and tins.
Are you looking for Christmas presents for someone who is difficult to buy for? Home decor make great gifts especially for people who are house-proud or if you don't know their tastes for a more personalized present. There are many categories from which to choose including kitchen, bathroom, garden and bedroom, lighting and electrical. I tend to buy for the kitchen or bathroom because I find it easier to find suitable gifts.
My favorite gifts from the home decor area are photo frames and albums, candle holders and lamps, vases, kitchen gadgets, wine racks and holders, garden products, linen and towels. I also recommend a present for the kitchen includinga clock (of course) but other times could be a coffee set or mugs, cookbooks, cheese plates and knives or even something festive like a nut cracker and you can add some walnuts to go with it.
Gift baskets and hampers also can be made up to suit the person you are buying for. It may be a food hamper, kitchen gadgets, beauty and bath products etc. You can put a large of items in a gift basket.
I am sure you will find a suitable gift for the hard-to-buy-for person online at AMAZON or Ebay. Giving in the festive season makes me feel so good and I feel blessed that this year I am still in a financial situation to be able to buy gifts for my loved ones and friends.
A children's wall clock is a good idea for a child's bedroom or play area to help them to learn to tell the time. They also make a good wall decoration but are more functional than say, putting up a nice picture.
I remember when my son was young he had difficulty telling the time especially so on an analog clock and they didn't teach him this skill at school. The alarm clocks and other clocks on electronic goods were all digital at home at the time.
I never go on vacation without my own travel clock. I use my own travel clock as an alarm mainly, and I then know I will make that day tour on time or get to breakfast before it closes or make it to the airport when I need to.
Hotels usually have clocks but aren't always easy to adjust or keep good time. I don't usually take my cell phone but when I do I use that as a back up alarm to my travel clock. My clock is a digital one but they come in analogue as well. I recommend one that has a back light so you can read it in the dark.
Space is tight in my suitcase so my alarm clock is very small but still very reliable and effective. You can get models that fold up and form a stand so you can see the clock easier and ones that are very slim so they don't take up much space. My travel clock is battery operated and you will find most are, so I do take back up batteries just in case, but so far haven't needed them.
